New Albany Parks & Recreation Fall 2026 | Page 5

As the seasons begin to change, there is no better time to get outside, stay active, and enjoy everything our parks have to offer. Whether you’ re signing up for a youth sports league, taking a fitness class, exploring our trails, or attending one of our city events, Parks and Recreation is committed to providing opportunities for residents of all ages to learn, connect, and improve their health.
We continue to invest in new amenities, recreational programs, and public spaces because we believe a strong parks system helps build a stronger New Albany.
This fall, you may notice construction at some of our parks as we continue investing in the future of our community. We’ re adding turf fields at Silver Street Park to improve player safety and extend the number of playable days each year. Construction also continues on the Monon South Freedom Trail, which will expand recreational opportunities and strengthen connections throughout our community. Along the New Albany Shoreline, we’ re making additional improvements to create even more places for residents and visitors to enjoy the beauty of the Ohio River.
I encourage you to explore this guide, discover something new, and join us for another exciting season of programs and events. We look forward to seeing you in our parks this fall!
Warm regards, Mayor Jeff Gahan
